Terms and conditions
STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing to book with Garden of Eden BnB. We look forward to welcoming you to our home, we love working in the hospitality sector but that means we also expected mutual respect for our heritage house and our private family life. So when you make this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please take note of the terms and conditions of booking below.
1) ARRIVAL
a) Check in is between 3 pm and 9 pm. If you plan to arrive earlier or later than these times please let us know so we can make sure we are here to welcome you.
2) CHECK-IN
a) Guests are given the key upon registration at the reception and are kindly asked to lock their rooms.
b) Guests are required to handover their keys to the hosts upon departure. Rooms can only be used by guests who are duly registered at the reception with a valid identity document and credit card for guarantee.
3) DEPARTURE
a) Check out is by 11 am on the day of departure. We are happy to store your bags for collection at an agreed later time, subject to availability.
4) PAYMENT
a) For direct bookings we secure your reservation using the card details provided. We DO NOT charge your card.
b) Changing dates without costs is possible up to 7 days before the date of reservations, subject to availability and price changes (if applicable)
c) Free cancellation is possible 7 days in advance. After that it there is a 50% of cancellation fee. But 48h before arrival the cancellation fee is the full 100%.
d) For bookings via an Online Travel Agent (OTA) eg ‘Booking.Com’ their terms and conditions apply regarding the payment and cancellation policy. For non-refundable rates payment is taken at the time of booking.
e) We strongly advise that you have travel insurance to cover the cost of your stay in the event of cancellation.
f) Our listed prices include accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis. Any extras are charged as ordered.
g) We accept cash or card payment on departure although regret we do not accept cheque and Diners cards. We also accept bank transfers, cleared, before departure.
5) SMOKING
a) Smoking/Vaping is not permitted anywhere in the house. Any evidence of guests smoking in the rooms will lead to the guest/s being asked to leave and being charged in full. Violation of the no smoking rule is a chargeable offence.
6) ROOMS
a) The Master Suite and the Deluxe Room are booked for 2 persons.
b) Delux Suite can accommodate additional 2 persons, Master Rooms can accommodate additional 1 person. Price depending on age and season.
c) Guests are forbidden to invite people without the knowledge of the hosts. Any evidence the aforementioned will lead to the guests being asked to leave and being charged in full.
d) Any parties or loud noises that persist after first warnings, police will be invited in the house and your room and requested to remove you and your company from our premises at the moment itself.
7) HOUSE KEEPING
a) Linen is changed every third day. Used towels are changed daily upon request.
b) Room Cleaning Services during the stay of the guest is upon request.
8) HOUSE RULES
a) We are a silent hotel; from 2300 to 0700 hours is the time of night peace. We invite every guest to be understanding during this hours and not cause noise that can disturb other guests. Please mind the TV and other sounds, when you come home after 11pm please refrain from talking in the hallways please.
b) Disturbing other Guests is not allowed. BnB keeps the right to refuse further hospitality to the Guest who disturb other Guests or in other way disrespect the House Rules. We assume that the Guests are familiarised and fully understand the BnB Rules at the beginning of their stay at Garden of Eden.
c) Guests must have appropriate clothes and footwear when they are moving through the public spaces of the BnB.
d) It is not allowed to take explosive, weapons, inflammable materials or other dangerous chemicals in to the BnB.
e) It is not allowed to bring food and beverage from outside in the BnB. Garden of Eden reserves the right to move this food and beverage.
f) It is not permitted to use iron, hot plates, electric heaters or any other heater device.
9) PARKING
a) We have parking for up to 2 visitor vehicles on the driveway. Guests are advised that the parking is entirely at your own risk.
10) PETS
b) Our rooms are not pet friendly and we do not currently accept pets.
11) NON-AVAILABILITY
a) In the unlikely event that we would need to cancel your accommodation we would refund ALL monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
12) DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES
a) We reserve the right to charge for breakages and/or damages you may cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report any such incidents as soon as they occur since Garden of Eden is a heritage property.
b) Please remember Garden of Eden BnB is also our home, consequently, any items on display, or being used in the running of our business belong to us. Anything removed without prior agreement will be charged at the replacement value. This includes bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers, keys etc.
13) LIABILITY
a) We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or any contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
COVID-19 ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
14) LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
a) Guests must present the following at the time of check-in; currently not in effect.
(1) A vaccination certificate that the guest is fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus; or
(2) A test certificate proving that the guest has taken a negative Covid-19 test 72 hours prior to Check-in; or
(3) A recovery certificate proving that the guest has recovered from Covid-19 after a previous positive Covid-19 test.
